Canton Youth Soccer Association was founded in the 1980's by a group of parents interested in promoting the most popular sport in the world. Starting with a handful of children at is conception, Canton Youth Soccer now provides recreational, and travel
1) Memorial Field is owned by the Collinsville Fire Department, please respect their property.
2) The pond is for use only by the Collinsville Fire Department and is off-limits to EVERYONE! Please stay 100 feet from the pond.
3) Please park only in designated areas inside the gates - do not park on Powder Mill Road
4) No dogs are allowed on the fields.
5) Please pick up trash after you leave your sideline.
From Route 84:
Off of I-84, take exit 39 (Route 4, Farmington exit). Stay straight on Route 4 going into Farmington (this is Farmington Ave) (don’t take a right at the set of
light when you come off Route I-84, this will lead you on Farmington Ave. heading towards West Hartford, stay straight).
Once in Farmington center, stay straight and follow into Unionville center. Take a right onto Rt. 177 and follow to the end when you will intersect with Rt. 44.
Take a left on Rt. 44. After you pass Canton Village on your Left, Keep an eye out for a Mobil Gas Station on the left-hand side.. Once you go past the Mobil Gas Station you are about a half mile from a fork in the road.
At the fork, you want to bear left heading on to Route 202 heading towards Torrington. Go through 2 lights and over the bridge take your 1st right after the bridge (Powder Mill), the fields will be on the right.
From Route I-91:
Off of I-91, take exit number 35 (Route 218 – Bloomfield/Windsor Exit, most likely the 35B), heading west towards Bloomfield (this exit is north of Hartford). Stay on Route 218 for about 4 to 5 miles, there are a number of traffic lights on this route. You will eventually cut across the intersection of Route 218 and Route 185 (there is a set of lights at this intersection).
Continue straight though the intersection on Route 218 for about another mile and a half. Once at the intersection of Route 218 and Route 44 (US-44/AVON MOUNTAIN RD), take a right onto Route 44 (at the intersection, there will be a Macaroni Grill Restaurant across the street on your right before you make a right onto Route 44). Continue traight on Route 44 up over the Avon Mountain, you will come down into the Farmington Valley. At the end of the mountain, you will come to the intersection of Route 44 and Route 10. Stay straight on Route 44 into Avon.
Once in Avon:
Once into Avon, continue on Route 44 (once in Avon, this is also called Route 202) through Avon into Canton (once you pass the Staples store on your left in Avon, you are now in Canton).
Once in Canton:
Continue straight on Route 44/Route 202 through Canton. After you pass Canton Village on your Left, Keep an eye out for a Mobil Gas Station on the left-hand side. From Route 8:
Take Take exit 44 which is the Torrington Rt. 202 exit. At the end of the exit take a right onto Rt. 202 follow through Torrington and New Hartford. Shortly after you pass
the reservoir you will cross the Canton line take a left at the bottom of the hill onto Powder Mill Rd. Fields are on the right.
